What a private Sri Lanka tour costs
Per person, per day. All-inclusive. No fixed packages.
A private Sri Lanka tour with One Sri Lanka costs $270 to $640 per person per day depending on tier — Silver $270, Gold $390, Platinum $640. That includes hotels, all meals, a private vehicle with driver-guide, entry tickets and airport transfers. A 10-day trip therefore runs $2,700 to $6,400 per person.
Why we price per day, not per package
A fixed package price answers only one question: what does this exact trip cost? It tells you nothing about what happens when you want to add two days in the hills, or cut the last beach stop because your flight home is early.
Pricing per person per day makes that arithmetic obvious. A 10-day Gold trip is ten times the daily Gold rate. Add two days and you add two more days at the same rate. Nothing is re-quoted, and there is no penalty for changing your mind while planning.
It also makes comparison honest. When you weigh us against another operator, compare what a day actually buys — because a cheaper headline package with hotels, meals and entry tickets stripped out is not cheaper at all.
What a trip costs, by length
All figures are per person, based on two people sharing a room. International flights, travel insurance and the ETA visa fee are not included.

What changes between tiers — and what does not
The itinerary does not change between tiers. You visit the same places, with the same guide quality, on the same schedule. What changes is where you sleep and what you travel in.
In practice, the jump from Silver to Gold buys noticeably better hotels — the difference between a clean, comfortable guesthouse and a proper boutique hotel with a pool. The jump from Gold to Platinum buys genuine luxury: internationally recognised 5-star properties, some of which are destinations in their own right.

Costs that sit outside the tour price
These are the things you should budget for separately, so the quoted figure is the figure you actually pay us:
- International flights to and from Colombo (CMB)
- Travel insurance — required; we will not confirm a booking without cover
- Sri Lanka ETA visa, roughly $35–$50 depending on nationality (check eta.gov.lk for the current fee before you travel)
- Alcoholic drinks, personal shopping and tips
- Optional add-ons: hot-air ballooning over Dambulla, spa and Ayurveda treatments, diving certification courses
- Single-occupancy supplement if you are not sharing a room

- How much does a 10-day Sri Lanka tour cost?
- A 10-day private tour with One Sri Lanka costs $2,700 per person on the Silver tier, $3,900 on Gold, or $6,400 on Platinum, based on two people sharing. That covers all accommodation, all meals, a private air-conditioned vehicle with driver-guide for the full ten days, entry tickets to everything on the itinerary, and airport transfers. International flights, insurance and the ETA visa fee are extra.
- Is the price per person or for the whole group?
- Per person, based on two people sharing a twin or double room. Larger groups often work out slightly cheaper per head because vehicle and guiding costs are shared across more people — tell us your group size and we will quote accordingly. Solo travellers pay a single-occupancy supplement, which varies by hotel and season.
- Are there hidden costs once I arrive?
- No. Meals, hotels, transport, guiding and entry tickets are all inside the daily rate, which is the point of pricing this way. The only things you will spend on during the trip are alcoholic drinks, personal shopping, tips, and any optional extras you choose to add.
- Does the price change by season?
- The daily tier rates are stable year-round. What varies is hotel availability rather than our pricing — during the December to March peak on the south and west coasts, the specific properties we can secure at a given tier are more limited, so booking earlier gets you better options for the same money.
- Can I mix tiers during one trip?
- Yes, and people do. A common pattern is Gold for the cultural triangle and hill country, then Platinum for the final few nights on the coast, where the luxury properties are genuinely worth it. We will quote a blended rate.
- What currency do you charge in, and what about exchange rates?
- We quote and invoice in USD. Prices shown elsewhere on this site in EUR, GBP, INR, CNY and other currencies are converted for guidance only — the amount you pay is the USD figure, so your bank's rate on the day applies.
